Misunderstanding Friendship and Expectations

Rabbit: I don't understand. Roo was so looking forward to...
Narrator: Spring Cleaning Day, was it?
Rabbit: [becomes heartbroken and devastated] No. Easter. What have I done? Where are all my friends?
Narrator: Friends, you say? You certainly didn't treat them like friends. Don't you remember?
Flashback Rabbit: I'm sorry, but I'm the Easter Bunny, so I make the rules. It isn't fun, it's Easter. I told you exactly what to do, and you didn't do any of it!
Narrator: You see, Rabbit? You never thought about what your friends wanted. All you ever did was think of yourself.
Rabbit: No, I didn't! Did I?
Narrator: It looks as if you got what you wanted. Now you can always have things your way.
Rabbit: [sobs; deliberately falls face first on one of the pages and breaks down crying, then composes himself; stands up; runs back to his house; enters his house and runs towards the box; opens the box; gasps in horror when he discovers that the box is empty] No! That's not what I want. Narrator, you said that the pages of the future haven't been written yet. So, does that mean these words can be changed? Please! Tell me I still have time to change! No! No, it's not too late. It can't be. I'll be a good friend. Yes, that's it. I can change. I'll get their special Easter things. I'll give them Easter. I will! It's not too late! NOOOOO!!!!
Rabbit: [gasps; He opens it up and to his surprise; gasps; laughs with relief] Huh? What? It's morning. I don't understand. Was it all just a bad dream? The box! Oh, please! Let it be a dream. They're here! They're still here! Look at that. Oh! That means there's still time. I can change. I can change. Oh!
Narrator: And so, they all hopped off together, on the grandest Easter ever, in the Hundred Acre Wood.
Roo: B.B.F.N.! Bye-bye for now!

Unexpected Encounter Between Rabbit and Tigger

Rabbit: [as Tigger comes to have a talk with him] Tigger! What on Earth are you doing here?
Tigger: Eh…
Rabbit: Well?
Tigger: Rabbit, I… I mean, you… When…
Rabbit: What?
Tigger: Roo is really upset about what happened today!
Rabbit: Oh, I see. Roo is upset. Well, what about me? Look at all this mess you've caused on Spring Cleaning Day, no less.
Tigger: I'm not talking about Spring-ity Cleaning Day, I'm talking about…
Rabbit: [shoves a feather duster into his mouth] Don't say it, Tigger, don't say it! Do not say that word in my house.
Tigger: [removes the feather duster from his mouth] What word?
Rabbit: I refuse to say it.
Tigger: If you won't tell me what word I'm not supposed to say, then how am I going to know not to say it? Let's see, is it… Carrotses?
Rabbit: No.
Tigger: Rutabagas?
Rabbit: No.
Tigger: Thingama-whatchama-higgety-jigs?
Rabbit: That isn't even a word.
Tigger: [pulls out a dictionary] Onomatopoeia? And that is a word.
Rabbit: Why would you even want to say that?
Tigger: [sings] Why wouldn't you say it? ♪ Onomatopoeia! Onomatopoeia! All I want to be is an Onomatopoeia! ♪
Rabbit: Easter! The word is Easter!
Tigger: That was going to be my next guess.
Rabbit: [sighs] Tigger, would you please just leave?
Tigger: Come on, Rabbit, are we never, ever going to have another Easter-y egg hunt again?
Rabbit: No! Not never, ever! Never again!
Tigger: [gasps] But you used to love Easter!
Rabbit: Says who?

Tigger's Decision to Head Home

Tigger: [sighs sadly; finds Roo gone] Guess there's nothing left to do but go home then. Come on, Roo-boy. Roo?

Misunderstanding Between Easter and Spring Cleaning

Roo: Happy Easter, Rabbit!
Rabbit: Easter? EASTER?!
Roo: Sure, you remember Easter, don't you? You know, with jellybeans, Easter baskets, and a great big Easter egg hunt.
Rabbit: [takes off the top hat; gulps; now angrily; offscreen; back to him; angrily throws his hat on the floor; violently stomps on the hat, crumbling it] Well, uh… Well, Roo. I'm afraid you've been terribly misinformed. Why, this is… This is Spring Cleaning Day. AND YOU'VE ALL RUINED IT! I don't believe it! I told you exactly what to do, and you didn't do any of it!
Roo: But, Rabbit...
Rabbit: [violently takes down a "Happy Easter" banner] Not another word! I want you all out of here at once! Out! Out!
Pooh: But...
Rabbit: [furiously shoving the others outside; violently slams his door. Roo pulls out the Easter egg and cuddles with it, only for Rabbit to angrily snatch it away; angrily slams his door again] All of you, out! I'll take that.
Tigger: Huh. Well, that went well. Maybe we should've sung it in a different key.
Piglet: I don't think so, Tigger. I don't think Rabbit wants us to sing anything.
Tigger: [gulps] Now that you've mentioned it, I'm starting to get the feeling that Rabbit doesn't want to celebrate Easter... ...at all.
Roo: Huh?

A Boy's Adventures with His Toy Animals

Narrator: [first lines; just as he goes to open a book titled "Winnie the Pooh", it bounces; the book bounces again] This could be the room of any small boy. But it just happened to belong to a boy named Christopher Robin. Like any small child, Christopher Robin had toy animals to play with. And together they shared many exciting and unusual adventures. D'oh! Uh...Huh. Uh, where was I? Oh, yes. They shared many exciting and unusual... Huh. What's going on here? Hello? Is anyone there?
Roo: [flies out of the book, bursting it open; lands in front of the camera, then waves; hops over to an illustrated drawing of Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger] YAH-HOO!!! Hi, Mr. Narrator.
Narrator: [chuckles] Hello, Roo.
Roo: [[The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh|a story about Winnie the Pooh; [Piglet's Big Movie|And Piglet] Are you going to tell ]? ]?
Narrator: Well, not exactly. Although I can assure you, they'll be joining us very soon.
Roo: [[The Tigger Movie|it must be about my best bouncing buddy, Tigger] Then ], huh?
Narrator: Ah, Tigger is right in the thick of things, as always, but this story isn't really about them.
Roo: [while dangling on the top of the book by his tail] Oh, then what is it about?
Narrator: Actually, the story begins with you.
Roo: [falls off from the top of the book] Me?! No way!
Narrator: Yes way!
Kanga: [offscreen] Roo, dear, your breakfast is getting cold.
Roo: [leaps into the book] That's my mama. I got to go. Oh, see you later!
Narrator: [chuckles] See you in a few pages.
