Despicable Me 4 Review
Gru and the Minions return for more chaos in ‘Despicable Me 4’. This latest sequel keeps very much to the ‘Despicable’ playbook while also feeling more disjointed and, in one or two places, repetitive than usual.
Opening in theaters on July 3rd, ‘Despicable Me 4’s is Illumination Entertainment (and distributor Universal) unleashing the latest salvo of their behemoth franchise. The success of ‘Despicable’ movies is almost comically predictable at this point, and while the latest offering does very little that’s really new, it seems certain to appeal to the family target audience.

The Despicable Me franchise centers on Gru, a super-villain (who later becomes a dad and superhero); his yellow-coloured Minions; and his three orphan girls, Margo, Edith and Agnes.
