Say a little prayer, "My Best Friend's Wedding" fans — the beloved 1997 romcom might be getting a TV sequel.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, ABC is developing a half-hour, single-camera comedy based on the popular movie starring Julia Roberts. The show would pick up where the movie left off: Julianne Potter returning home to New York with gay BFF George (Rupert Everett in the film) as her supportive guide. The original movie's writer, Ron Bass, will pen the script.

"My Best Friend's Wedding" is just the latest Hollywood property to get a reboot/prequel/sequel. This season, ABC brought "The Muppets" back to primetime, and the network is also working on a "Fantasy Island" remake. Fox is bringing back "The X-Files" and "Prison Break" this winter. And there are reboots of Nancy Drew, "MacGyver," "Training Day," and "Little Women" in the works elsewhere.
