The fight between "Godzilla vs. Kong" is just getting bigger ... in star power.

Emmy winner Alexander Skarsgard ("Big Little Lies") is joining the cast of the monster film that pits the two iconic movie creatures against each another again. He'll star alongside Millie Bobby Brown ("Stranger Things"), Julian Dennison ("Deadpool 2"), Demian Bichir ("The Nun") and Brian Tyree Henry ("Atlanta").

Skarsgard's role is unknown, though Variety reports he is expected to play the leader of a military unit.

This will mark the fourth installment of the cinematic universe that the two monsters share. The first was in 2014's "Godzilla," followed by 2017's "Kong: Skull Island."

"Godzilla: King of the Monsters" — starring Brown, Dennison, and Kyle Chandler — will hit theaters on May 31, 2019. "Godzilla vs. Kong" will be a sequel to that.
