Following a long hiatus between its two most recent seasons, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" has decided to stick around this time: HBO has renewed the Larry David mockumentary for a 10th season.

TheWrap reports that production on the new episodes will begin sometime in the spring of 2018, though no premiere date has been set yet. Still, it will be a much shorter wait than the six years that unfolded after season eight ended back in 2011, before HBO and David decided the time was right to revive the series.

According to a release from the premium cable outlet, renewing "Curb" was a no-brainer.

"We are thrilled that Larry will be back with his uniquely acerbic wit and comedic sensibility," said HBO programming president Casey Bloys in a statement.

Added David in his own statement, "As I've said many times, when one has the opportunity to annoy someone, one should do so."

It appears that David's return wasn't too annoying, though, since "Curb" just picked up a pair of Screen Actors Guild Award nominations, for best actor in a comedy series and best comedy ensemble. Season nine wrapped its run earlier this month.

Stay tuned for more details about season 10 as they become available.
