Is this how DC can finally beat Marvel? A talent swap?

Not even Star-Lord loves a middle finger to Disney more than Dave Bautista. He has been James Gunn's biggest champion since Disney fired Gunn as director of Marvel Studios' "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3." Bautista, who plays Drax, said he would ask Disney to release him from his "Guardians 3" contract if they didn't at least use James Gunn's script.

"Guardians 3" appears to be on hold as they look for a new director/Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. But news just came out that James Gunn is in talks to write and possibly direct DC/Warner Bros.'s "Suicide Squad 2."

Bautista -- who has turned into Gunn's volunteer publicist -- first retweeted the news, then shared another story along with his own request to join the DC Extended Universe team:

There's no saying Bautista couldn't be part of both the MCU and the DCEU at the same time, but it's clear Bautista's loyalty is with Gunn and NOT Disney/Marvel. If he could fully defect from Disney, he'd probably go ahead and do it.

They can still say Drax is in the third movie -- he's just invisible.
