Netflix will probably join Statler and Waldorf in the balcony to heckle this new show.

According to "The Muppets." Hopefully it will be more successful than the 2015 series ABC canceled after one season. THR said a search for a writer for the new show is underway.

Disney's streaming service will reportedly include a lot of remakes, reboots, and other familiar products, in addition to carrying Marvel movies, and live-action Star Wars series. CEO Bob Iger said the TV slate will include reboots of "High School Musical" and a series based on Pixar's "Monsters, Inc." Sources told THR that a TV version of "The Mighty Ducks" is also "likely" to happen. On the film side, they added "The Parent Trap," "Father of the Bride," and "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" are among the first movies on the table as potential reboots.

Disney acquired the rights to the Muppets franchise in 2004. Under Disney, they were featured in two movies, "The Muppets" (2011) and "Muppets Most Wanted" (2014), in addition to the short-lived "The Muppets" series. "The Muppet Show" ran for 120 episodes from the 1970s-80s and was followed by several classic movies, including "The Muppet Movie," "The Great Muppet Caper," "The Muppets Take Manhattan," "The Muppet Christmas Carol," "Muppet Treasure Island," and "Muppets from Space."

Disney's streaming service is expected to launch sometime in fall 2019. It will supposedly be cheaper than Netflix and not carry any R-rated titles. It's going to have to be jam-packed with massive win to entice viewers to pay for still another service in a crowded market.
