Wonder Woman is bringing her beachy waves to 1984 for the "Wonder Woman" sequel called -- to make it super clear when it's set -- "Wonder Woman 1984."

"Wonder Woman 2" just started filming, and star Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins shared the first photos from the movie last week.

Gal Gadot later shared her own gold and glittery look at Diana Prince in full costume:

She's back... ????????‍♀️ #WW84

The first "Wonder Woman" movie was set during World War I. Goddess Diana hasn't changed physically, but she'll likely be carrying scars from that harrowing experience.

Do you see any major differences?

"Wonder Woman 1984" opens next year, and we'll probably have a full year of theories on why one of the first photos released showed Diana's first love, Steve Trevor. (The other photo is Diana in front of the screens, shown at top.) Steve somehow looks like same from World War I, too, except now in '80s gear. We all have questions and theories about that, but it was pretty bold of Patty Jenkins and company to lead with that photo -- putting the mystery out there more than a year early.

We know Kristen Wiig is playing villain The Cheetah in this movie, with Pedro Pascal in another pivotal role. That's the most WB/DC has shared so far, but there's plenty of time for more.

"Wonder Woman 1984" is scheduled for release on November 1, 2019.
