The 'Grey's Anatomy' Firefighter Spinoff Finally Has a Title
After months of fan speculation, the creative team behind the upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" spinoff has finally revealed the show's title.
Referencing the setting where the show's firefighter characters will be based, the series is called "Station 19." In a tweet announcing the news, executive producer Paris Barclay noted that showrunners were "Keeping it simple and sweet" with the straightforward title, a decision we definitely agree with.

ABC executives previously revealed that they decided against naming the series "Seattle Fire," thanks to its similarity to rival NBC drama "Chicago Fire." And apparently the cast and crew gave the series the joke working title "Blaze Anatomy" during filming, which, while pretty funny, was way too punny (and groan-inducing) for a permanent moniker.
The cast apparently agrees that the new name suits the show perfectly, with several cast members tweeting their excitement about the title. (The show now has an official Twitter page, FYI.)

"Station 19" features "Grey's Anatomy" crossover character Dr. Ben Warren (Jason George), as well as at least one appearance from Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo). It's set for a two-hour premiere during ABC's TGIT block on March 22.
