Sure, the direct plot of the Joe Swanberg-directed film "Digging for Fire" involves a dead body - but its star and co-writer Jake Johnson insists the underlying theme is about couples' relationship ups and downs.

"I think the idea in the movie we all wanted to make was that it's just a movie about regular people who have a kid," Johnson tells Made in Hollywood.

The Sundance-premiered film, which will be released worldwide on Aug. 25, shows the different adventures a somewhat troubled husband on wife go on separately in one weekend.

"We heighten it with what other weekends look like," Johnson explains. "'Cause most people, if they took this weekend, their weekends aren't going to end up looking for a dead body and/or kissing Orlando Bloom on a beach. So, we obviously want to heighten it, but we wanted to tell a very real kind of adult story about a relationship."
