Santa Claus rocks out, gets salty with dancing elves, wears a badass "S" necklace, and even gets into a police car chase in "The Christmas Chronicles" teaser.

"If you ever meet Mrs. Claus ... maybe just forget this part."

Netflix just shared the first look at the Christmas movie, which was produced by "Harry Potter" and "Home Alone" director Chris Columbus.

Kurt Russell plays Santa, which we didn't quite see coming. But he's still every inch Ego the Living Planet, so ... here's hoping Chris Pratt has a cameo as Santa's son. Just because.

Since we're still a few weeks away from Halloween, it feels kinda early for Christmas movie trailers. "The Christmas Chronicles" will actually release on November 22, which is Thanksgiving Day.  And even though this "teaser" is already nearly 2 minutes, a full "official trailer" will probably come after Halloween.

Here's the teaser:

Here's the official synopsis:

"The Christmas Chronicles, a holiday adventure from producer Chris Columbus (“Home Alone”, "Harry Potter") and director Clay Kaytis ("The Angry Birds Movie"), tells the story of sister and brother, Kate (Darby Camp) and Teddy Pierce (Judah Lewis), whose Christmas Eve plan to catch Santa Claus (Kurt Russell) on camera turns into an unexpected journey that most kids could only dream about. After staking out Santa’s arrival, they sneak into his sleigh, cause it to crash and nearly derail Christmas. As their wild night unfolds, Kate and Teddy work together with Santa - as you've never seen him before - and his loyal Elves to save Christmas before it's too late."

Why do Santa and Christmas always need saving? You never get this drama from the Easter bunny.

"The Christmas Chronicles" arrives on Netflix November 22.
