It's off to college for Melissa McCarthy.

A trailer for the comedian's upcoming movie "Life of the Party" dropped Monday, and McCarthy has hilarious misadventures ahead of her. In the comedy, the actress plays Deanna, a housewife who decides to finally pursue her dream of finishing her degree after being left by her husband. She enrolls in college and ends up becoming classmates with her daughter, Maddie (Molly Gordon).

Although Maddie isn't so excited about her mom joining her, it looks like they form a unique bond. The trailer shows the duo having quite the college experience and sharing moments most mothers and daughters probably don't, such as frat parties, makeovers, and talk of their "va-Googles."

The cast also includes Gillian Jacobs, Maya Rudolph, Julie Bowen, Matt Walsh, Stephen Root, and Jacki Weaver. McCarthy wrote the script with her husband, Ben Falcone, who doubles as the film's director.

"Life of the Party" hits theaters May 11.
