The rumor that the upcoming "Black Widow" solo film was going to get an R-rating? Totally unfounded, says Marvel's Kevin Feige.

Talking to ComicBook.com, the Marvel Studio President shot down that particular rumor for good. "Yes. Correct," he told the site when asked if the R-rating was just so much Internet hot air.

"It never was going to be," Feige said. "Somebody writes, 'I hear it's R-rated!' And then everybody writes it up."

At this point, all we know about the film is that Scarlett Johansson will be reprising the title character, of course. And that Cate Shortland ("Berlin Syndrome") will be directing from a script by Jac Schaeffer, who's also writing at least an episode of the Disney+ "The Vision and Scarlet Witch" series.

The Black Widow movie does not yet have a release date, but is rumored to be out sometime next year.

Other Marvel movies we're expecting:  a "Black Panther" sequel and a second "Doctor Strange" movie. As for the third "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie, that's off for the books for now.
