There's something strange and it looks good - namely the "Ghostbusters" cast clad in their costumes. Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon debuted in their paranormal investigation uniforms this week and they appear to have not gotten much of a makeover since 1984's Bill Murray-led cast's costumes.

The first look is already geeking out fan boys (and girls), prompting speculation as to which character-type McKinnon will be playing. Observers noted on Twitter that the "Saturday Night Live" laugh riot's flipped blonde 'do and round glasses resemble Egon from the original film, who was played by the late Harold Ramis (who died last year at 69).

On Tuesday director Paul Feig tweeted an image of the "Ghostbusters" car, and in June he teased fans with a view of the costumes on a wardrobe rack.

The all-female cast reboot will hit theaters July 22, 2016
