All hail "The Lion King" teaser trailer, which has set a new Disney record for views in one day and became the second most-watched trailer from any studio of all time.

The trailer, which debuted on Thanksgiving Day, generated 224.6 million global views in 24 hours. That makes it Disney's most-viewed trailer premiere. Of all studio trailer debuts, it falls only behind Marvel's "Avengers: Infinity War" trailer, which racked up 238 million views.

Disney's live-action remake of its animated classic comes from director Jon Favreau and stars Donald Glover and Beyonce Knowles-Carter as the lead voices of Simba and Nala. James Earl Jones reprises his role from the original movie as Mufasa.

The teaser trailer replicates the opening scene of the original, with baby Simba being presented to the animal kingdom and Mufasa noting, "A king's time as ruler rises and falls like the sun."

"The Lion King" opens in theaters July 19, 2019.
