Bless Dwayne Johnson for standing by his own mouth. He is not sorry for blasting some of his male "Fast 8" co-stars as "chicken sh*t" and "candy asses," even though he told the L.A. Times that Universal Pictures execs "talked" to him after his Instagram outburst. Instead of walking it back, The Rock just pointed out that it was actually a great publicity boost for "Fast 8." Heck, he may even be expecting flowers.

You read his Instagram rant back in August, and Johnson -- recently dubbed the Sexiest Man Alive -- was just asked about it in a chat with the L.A. Times. Here's that part of interview:

"I was very clear with what I said. I've been in the game a long time," he said with a knowing smile. "Would Universal have preferred that didn't happen? Sure, we talked about it. The irony is after that and as they do their tracking and all their analysis, the interest shot through the roof to a whole other level."

Yep, he's basically bragging about it. As a reminder, here's what he posted over the summer, in what was rumored but never confirmed to be in part about Vin Diesel:

"This is my final week of shooting #FastAndFurious8. There's no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. An incredible hard working crew. UNIVERSAL has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love 'em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken sh*t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling - you're right. Bottom line is it'll play great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character that's embedded in my DNA extremely well. The producer in me is happy about this part??. Final week on FAST 8 and I'll finish strong. #IcemanCometh #F8 #ZeroToleranceForCandyAsses"

However, "candy asses" can also be a term of endearment for The Rock. Witness his recent post about filming "Jumanji," an experience he seemed to genuinely enjoy. In the Instagram video below, his co-stars jokingly call him an a**hole and tell him to kill himself and eat d*cks. In the caption, he calls them "candy asses," too:

"'Go kill yourself and eat d*cks' has just become one of my all time favs. Thanks Kev. ????????
In a huge action sequence I'm hanging off the side of a helicopter saving the lives of my co-stars @karengillanofficial, @jackblack, @nickjonas and @kevinhart4real.. and this is the gratitude they show. For the record, I'm the one 800ft in the air being fearless while they sit on their candy asses by the monitors with their little microphones talking sh*t. The #SexiestManAlive is about go down there and knock some lungs loose. I TRULY LUV these crazy bastards and no one is having more fun on sets than us and our hard working crew. #FridayNightShinannigans #WorkHardPlayHard #OnLocation #Atlanta #Jumanji"

They're a real family! You can tell by the tone of the video and the caption that he's just goofing around with this group, and there's nothing but love. The "Fast 8" actors? Eh. Maybe not *all* love.
