After several delays and reschedulings, the "X-Men" spinoff "The New Mutants" finally has a release date of August 2.  Or does it?

Even Anya Taylor-Joy, who stars in the film, doesn't seem so sure it'll be out in six months.

Talking to "The Upcoming" about her latest film, "Glass," she either didn't know about the new release date or wasn't sure it's actually a go this time. She simply said, "it’s coming your way at some point."

The film has been moved from April 2018 to February 22, 2019, and now to August 2, 2019.

According to The Playlist, reshoots for the film that were supposed to take place in September 2018 still haven't happened, possibly because it's a challenge to resassemble the cast, which includes "Game of Thrones"'s Maisie Williams and "Stranger Things" star Charlie Heaton.

Taylor-Joy told The Playlist in early 2018, "Well, the only thing that I could say, without being in trouble, is that it being delayed is disappointing, frustrating in fact. Because we were all very excited for it to be released on April 13, and I don’t mean just disappointing for me, but I’m sure there are a lot of other fans that were looking forward to seeing it."

Rumors are that the film might end up on Hulu and skip theaters completely.
