One of the jury is dead at the hands of one of their fellows 35 hours after they retire to discuss a gruesome murder case. Their votes are divided, and who will harbor prejudices?

While Leighton, the defendant's brother, is free, and his girlfriend is in hospital, and the judge wants the jury to stay overnight in a hotel.

With the jury unable to come to a verdict, a temporary stay in a hotel creates tension.

Val suffers after a night of drinking and remembers nothing about the previous night.

The twelve are under increasing pressure to reach an award. There's growing pressure on the troubled jury to reach a verdict.

With the hours ticking, many of the jury are trapped in emergency situations. The jurors find themselves trapped in precarious situations.
