Amelia is worried about finding the right look for her dance recital. Thankfully, she has Cleo in her corner.

Amelia decides to forge a permission slip so she can go on a field trip with her classmates but has to face the consequences when she feels sick.

Amelia tries to continue the birthday traditions that her late mum started with Nathan. When things go awry, she worries she's let both Nathan and her mum down. Victoria offers to tutor Vikram in order to get her last volunteer hour for school. She quickly learns that knowing something and teaching something are two different skills.

Amelia struggles to communicate with her first crush, as Tony fights to stop Amelia being streamlined.

Amelia has her first American sleepover at Declynn's. Their friendship progresses when they go on an adventure back to Amelia's to retrieve her forgotten head wrap.

Amelia must stand up for herself when she's pressured to join the soccer team and Cleo tries to adjust to her little Charlie not being a baby anymore.

When Amelia's best friend and her mother come to visit from England, things don't go exactly as anticipated with her past and present friends, forcing everyone to reconsider what friendship means to them.

Amelia learns to set boundaries when Nathan takes over the movie she's making with her friends. Nick is guilted into hanging out at Roger's place, but when Nick keeps finding excuses to stay, we learn that Nick knows many people, but he doesn't have many friends.

After Amelia wins the chance to sing live on the school's website, she accidentally promises everyone that a famous musician is going to sing for her instead. When Nick switches sponsors for more money, Nathan worries his cousin is a sell-out.

Amelia decides to push herself to speak, but learns her trauma runs deeper than she thought. Through his driving lessons, Nathan must deal with his unresolved feelings around his mother's death.
