3. Macaron Tower
The five best advance to Round Two, where they bake thirteen identical signature desserts hoping to advance. Guest judge Leanne Pietrasinski instructs the final three - construct a delicious macaron tower!
4. Illusion Cake
The top five move to Round Two, where they make a baker’s dozen (13) of their personal specialties to move to the final three. Guest judge Rachael Teufel’s final challenge? Make a mind-blowing illusion cake!
5. Geometric Tart
Thirteen bakers decorate cakes that dazzle the eye. Five surviving bakers then showcase their trademark bakes hoping to make it to the next round. Guest judge Lauren Ko’s challenge to the top three - make gorgeous geometric pies or tarts!
6. Breakfast Dessert
Thirteen bakers decorate oversized donuts before advancing to Round Two, where they must impress with their own signature desserts. Guest judge Gemma Stafford challenges the top three to create the ultimate breakfast dessert!
7. Bread Art
This week’s contestants begin by decorating gingerbread houses! The top five advance and try to impress the judges with their own baking specialty. Guest judge Teri Culletto gives the final three their last challenge - making a bread art masterpiece!
8. Nature Dessert
Contestants decorate beautiful miniature wedding cakes with the top five advancing. They then must impress the judges by baking their specialty. Only three finalists get to wow guest judge Loria Stern with a dessert inspired by nature!
