2. Leif Garrett

October 23rd, 201045 min

Leif Garrett had a golden mane, sparkling smile, movie star looks, and a unforgettable name. He charmed his way to teen idol glory before he was even old enough to drive a car. Four years after his singing debut, he was cast out by Hollywood and fell into a deep depression. This is the story of Leif Garrett.

3. Alice Cooper

October 30th, 201045 min

Originally, there was a band called Alice Cooper led by a singer named Vincent Damon Furnier. Under his direction, Alice Cooper pioneered a grandly theatrical and violent brand of heavy metal that was designed to shock. Drawing equally from horror movies, vaudeville, heavy metal, and garage rock, the group created a stage show that featured electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood, and huge boa constrictors, all coordinated by the heavily made-up Furnier. By that time, Furnier had adopted the name for his androgynous on-stage personality. While the visuals were extremely important to the group's impact, the band's music was nearly as distinctive. Driven by raw, simple riffs and melodies that derived from '60s guitar pop as well as show tunes, it was rock & roll at its most basic and catchy, even when the band ventured into psychedelia and art rock.

4. Boy George

November 6th, 201045 min

British singer Boy George combined a strong, soulful singing voice with a provocative sense of fashion, both of which were first brought to the attention of English and American audiences in the group Culture Club, for whom he served as lead singer from 1982 to 1986. The group wrote and played impeccable pop music, and Boy George's androgynous persona -- heavy makeup and outrageous costumes -- gave the group a distinct video image in the dawn of MTV.

5. Daryl Hall & John Oates

November 13th, 201045 min

This is the story behind the most successful duo in the history of pop music, Hall & Oates. Updated to the original episode is the death of long time Hall & Oates guitarist T-Bone Wolk, John separating from his long time companion Sara Allen, John Oates' acoustic solo album, and the huge success of Daryl's live internet web cast "Live From Daryl's House".

6. Michael Hutchence

December 18th, 201045 min

This is the story of the Michael Hutchence, the lead singer of INXS, who died in mysterious circumstances in 1997. Updated to the original Behind The Music episode is the tragic descent into addiction and death of his partner Paula Yates, the rescue of their daughter Tiger Lily and the continuation of his powerful musical influence.

7. Lynyrd Skynyrd

November 27th, 201045 min

8. Green Day

December 11th, 201045 min

This is the story of the West Coast band Green Day who broke punk into the mainstream of American Music and put political passion into the charts. Updated to the original Behind The Music episode are the lost tapes of their 2003 album, the controversy around their American Idiot tour and their savage 21st Century Breakdown album that became a Broadway show.

9. Duran Duran

November 20th, 201045 min

This is the story of the chic new romantic band that merged punk with funk. Updated to the original episode is the surprise re-formation of the classic line up, the sad departure of Andy Taylor and their alliance with hot producer Mark Ronson for their latest album.

10. Fleetwood Mac

December 4th, 201045 min

This is the story of the band Fleetwood Mac whose on/off relationships and bust ups became as famous as their music. Updated to the original episode are the final departure of Christine McVie from the band, the revised line up's new album and their ongoing determination to keep the show on the road and filling stadiums.
