Season 6 Plot

The sixth and final season of Canadian Idol is the sixth and final installation of the Idol series in Canada and premiered on June 3, 2008, on the CTV Television Network. It is again hosted by Ben Mulroney, with the addition of Jully Black as a special correspondent and general mentor to the contestants. Farley Flex, Jake Gold, Sass Jordan and Zack Werner all returned as judges. This season saw a number of major and minor show format changes in an effort to keep the franchise fresh and innovative. The final episode of the season, in which the Canadian Idol was crowned, aired on September 10, 2008. The winner of the sixth season was Theo Tams. The sixth season became the final season of Canadian Idol following its cancellation in 2009.

This is the kick off to the sixth season of Canadian Idol. For the first time in North America and only the second time in the world, Canadian Idol Online Auditions were held, casting the net even wider and resulting in an 11th virtual city stop. Watch as people make fun of themselves and are made fun or, due to their lack of talents and clues. The "winners" will move on to Toronto for the really hard part of the competition.

This is the third episode of the sixth season of Canadian Idol. This will wrap up the auditions getting right to the "Top 200" episodes. Watch as people make fun of themselves and are made fun or, due to their lack of talents and clues. The "winners" will move on to Toronto for the really hard part of the competition.

Watch as the "Top 200" gold ticket group is narrowed down by the Canadian Idol judges. The field goes from approximately 200 gold ticket winners to only 22 finalists.

The Top 2 went off to New York City to work with John Legend. They performed three songs; a Judges choice, one song of their own choosing and the new Canadian Idol winner's single.

In the performance episode, the Top 2 contestants performed 3 songs. The fans have voted for their favourite contestants. Performances in this 2 hour special will include: The Top 10; This year's winner; Last year's winner; and more. Performances announced August 22, 2008: John Legend, Hedley, reigning Idol champ Brian Melo and Jully Black. Headliner will be Mariah Carey!
