Femke and her son Gijs from Haarlem have permanently swapped their rental home with Veronique from Hoofddorp. For Femke, who has already moved 25 times and is currently living in a home that is too small, this swap represents a significant improvement in her living situation. Veronique, on the other hand, lives in a home that is too large and, with an eye to the future, wishes to move to a smaller home, preferably in Haarlem. The mediation and support during this home swap have proven to be of great value to both parties.

Michael and Michelle from Nieuwegein currently live in a single-story home, partly due to Michelle's muscle disease. Their wish is to move with their daughter Sarah to a spacious family home with a garden, where they can enjoy family life to the fullest. Tilly from IJsselstein owns such a house and is more than happy to share it with this family. Stylists Daan and Roos have been given the honorable task of transforming both homes into true little palaces, entirely tailored to the wishes and needs of the residents.

At the same time, another housing wish is at play elsewhere. Yasmin, a single mother of two daughters, currently lives in a single-story home but dreams of a single-family home where her children have more room to grow up. Two families with divergent but equally urgent housing needs, illustrating how important it is for homes to align with the living circumstances of the residents.

Kelly from Hellevoetsluis combines her role as a mother with running her own business, leaving her days completely full. She struggles with a lack of space in her home: her 12-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son currently share one bedroom. Yvon, 67 years old, works as a bartender in the center of Hellevoetsluis. She lives ten kilometers away in a drive-in house in Brielle. In view of her age and personal circumstances, Yvon wants to move to a smaller home, closer to her work and near her father.

Cherise lives with her two sons in a small apartment in Almere, where the family is struggling with a shortage of rooms. As a result, Cherise is forced to sleep in the living room. 68-year-old Joke, also living in Almere, wishes to move to a smaller, single-level home in view of her future needs and health. Although she has few specific requirements, she possesses a considerable amount of assets.

Patricia, a single mother, lives with her young son Jaxx in a modest two-room apartment in Spijkenisse. Due to a lack of an extra bedroom, she is forced to place her bed in the living room. In the same city lives 53-year-old Willeke, who has a home that is actually far too large for her situation. Due to her health problems, the maintenance and management of the house constitute a significant burden.

Jeanine lives with her two teenagers in Bussum, but the family's daily life mainly takes place in Almere. Donny and Else form a blended family and have their home in Almere. However, they cherish the wish to start a new chapter in Bussum, where they would live closer to their work and family, and thus hope to find more connection and ease in their lives.
