Series 2 Plot
Dr James Ford is a Psychiatric Registrar in a North Yorkshire hospital. His personal life is a mess, and his colleagues might find him arrogant, but he appears committed to his vulnerable patients. So when he finds himself torn between a new mother attending a routine postnatal check-up and the sectioning of a floridly psychotic woman during a busy on-call shift, no one could predict the terrible consequences.

1. Episode 1
When psychiatric registrar James Ford finds himself torn between a new mother attending a routine postnatal check-up and the sectioning of a psychotic woman during a busy on-call shift, no-one can predict the terrible consequences. The MIU are brought in to investigate, but digging deeper into the events that night leads to questions about Dr Ford and his hospital department.
2. Episode 2
Pressure mounts on Dr Ford as the investigation continues and when another traumatic incident occurs in the unit, he clashes with colleagues and the hospital's trust and leaves the future of the unit in doubt. Meanwhile, the MIU continue to dig into the events leading up to the incident and as they uncover discrepancies and questions, new evidence further undermines James' fitness to practice.
3. Episode 3
The MIU turns the spotlight on Dr Hernandez and the obstetric department in the wake of Maria Carter's evidence, but the team suspects wider cultural issues when the hospital's trust question the investigation. Meanwhile, a rattled Ford unravels when he discovers new information and leaves Kate concerned with his behaviour, and a shocking secret risks exposing the doctor's lies
4. Episode 4
The MIU refuses to concede to pressure from the hospital's trust while looking closer into previous complaints that might shed light on the truth, but just how far will the trust go to protect itself? Suspicion turns once again to James Ford after his actions on his night out are revealed, and Kate is forced to make a decision as both the doctor and the MIU race to track down midwife Maria Carter
5. Episode 5
With more questions than answers, the MIU is running out of time to piece together the truth. In the wake of a shocking death, Ford and the MIU discover witnesses who are unwilling to speak on record as well as hints of a wider conspiracy that leads far beyond the failing psychiatric unit. Meanwhile, Ford desperately attempts to gain an ally to fight alongside him
