Jeremy arrives in Heathrow to find the airport decimated by Covid-19. He helps to prepare a Boeing 787 bound for Delhi and meets the Australian residents desperate to return home.
2. Episode 2
It's early November, and Heathrow's most lucrative US routes are opening up to double-vaccinated passengers. Out on the apron, excitement is in the air as two aircraft prepare for a historic dual take-off.
3. Episode 3
Jeremy finds out how air traffic controller Steph is acclimatising to increased plane traffic and tries his hand at ordering planes for take-off in the NATS simulator.
4. Episode 4
As Christmas approaches, Heathrow is hit hard by the effects of the Omicron variant. Jeremy meets an Irish nurse who has been working on Covid wards and is desperate to travel back to Dublin.
5. Episode 5
It's a new year. While Omicron has been raging across Europe, the UK has resisted lockdown and relaxed rules for arrivals. As the airport looks ahead to the future, a few airlines have emerged from the pandemic challenges as success stories.
