Season 1 Plot
THE Game Maker series is a short mini series highlighting video game development companies in Japan such as Irem, Jaleo, Sega, Sunsoft, Taito and Tecmo. Each special includes games released by the companies as well as highlights of the games, interviews with developers, GameCenter CX Director and Assistant Director interactions with the games as well as guest apperances by Shinya Arino from Yoiko and Yoshiuki Hirai doing playthroughs with live commentary.
THE Game Maker Season 1 aired on January 29th, 2010.
Season 1 Episodes
1. The Game Maker - JALECO
This is the Jaleco edition of the series that introduces nostalgic games by focusing on game manufacturers, and also records game data. The representative titles such as "Ninja Jajamaru-kun" are explained, and the progress as a manufacturer is thoroughly dissected.
2. THE Game Maker - Sunsoft
This is the Sunsoft edition of the series that introduces nostalgic games by spotting game makers and records game data. It explains the company's representative works such as "Atlantis-no Nazo" and thoroughly introduces the back side of software development.
3. THE Game Maker - Irem
This is the Irem edition of the series that introduces nostalgic games by focusing on the game makers and also records game data. It highlights the companies representative titles such as "R-TYPE" and "Hammerin' Harry", and the progress as a manufacturer is thoroughly dissected.
4. THE Game Makers - Taito
This is the Taito edition of the series that introduces nostalgic games by focusing on the game makers and also records game data. It highlights the companies representative titles such as "Space Invaders" and "Densha de GO!!", and the progress as a manufacturer is thoroughly dissected.
5. THE Game Maker - Namco
This is the Namco edition of the series that introduces nostalgic games by focusing on the game makers and also records game data. It highlights the companies representative titles such as "Pac-Man" and "Xevious", and the progress as a manufcaturer is thoroughly dissected.
6. THE Game Maker - Tecmo
This is the Tecmo edition of the series that introduces nostalgic games by focusing on the game makers and also records game data. It highlights the companies representative titles such as "Solomon's Key", and the progress as a manufacturer is thoroughly dissected.
