2. Episode 2
After collapsing at the wheel of his car, a stroke victim's brain is swelling and scans reveal a tumour which needs removing. Plus a delicate spinal operator to alleviate lower back pain.
3. Episode 3
A man arrives in theatre with agonising back pain and doctors suspect a cancerous tumour is compressing his spinal cord. He needs an urgent operation using a hi-tech robot to remove it.

A neurosurgeon has just 24 hours to stop 21-year-old Caitlin from going blind, Toni's life is in danger due to a brain cyst, and Steven faces surgery on a massive deformity in his spine.
5. Episode 5
A patient is sped into theatre after a devastating stroke. Lorna is rushed in for emergency surgery after breaking her back.
6. Episode 6
Fifty-year-old Theresa has been rushed in after sudden, severe neck pain and weakness in her arms and legs. Surgeons fear without urgent surgery she could be paralysed.

Shaun has a rare condition, acromegaly, that causes his hands and feet to keep growing. Sofia needs an op to alleviate a Chiari malformation: her brain is pushing into the spinal canal.
8. Episode 8
James, 63, is losing feeling and function in his hands and fingers. Surgeons must act fast to remove disc and bone from his neck. Will they save James from an uncertain future?
