It looks like Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow may have found their much-needed No. 8 for the upcoming "Ocean's Eight": "American Horror Story" and "The People v. O.J. Simpson."

The acclaimed actress is reportedly in early talks for the film, and if a deal is reached, she'll add still more talent to an already impressive cast. A female-driven spinoff of 2001's "Ocean's Eleven," the film is set to star the likes of Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, and Awkwafina (actress Nora Lum). As if that weren't enough starpower for one movie, stars from "Ocean's Eleven" -- yet another film with a fantastic cast -- are expected to appear.

"Ocean's Eight" will follow in the footsteps of "Ocean's Eleven" (and 1960's "Ocean's 11" before it) in telling the story of a group's efforts to pull of a thrilling heist. The script was written by Gary Ross and Olivia Milch, and Ross will direct. Meanwhile, Steven Soderbergh, who helmed "Ocean's Eleven," will produce.

No timeline for the film's release has yet been announced, but we say the sooner the better.
