I'd see Tina Fey and Paul Rudd in anything, but this is pushing it. Admission is so slight that a breeze could flatten it. show more

Everybody in Admission is funny - Tina Fey, Paul Rudd, Lily Tomlin, Wallace Shawn - but they're not funny in Admission. show more

Largely because of its engaging cast, Admission is an amiable, but only slightly-above-average, comic romp. show more

Nobody doesn't like Tina Fey, and anyone aware of her starring role in Admission will be wishing her well. But wishing won't make this dramedy any less dreary than it is. show more

Admission works in stops and starts. show more

Joe Neumaier New York Daily News

The bad news about Admission is that this thin envelope of a comedy checks all the boxes for being a phoned-in, phony, padded rom-com. show more

    Todd McCarthy The Hollywood Reporter

Deftly playing Tina Fey's feminist-icon mother, Lily Tomlin all but steals Admission, a knowing but uneven comedy about the neuroticism of the college-admission process on both sides of the equation. show more

Where "About a Boy" was both funny and wise about urban alienation, Admission settles for skin deep. show more

The result is a picture curiously yet intriguingly at odds with itself: One moment is edgy, the next is not; the cast is terrific, the direction is not; here it’s satirically sharp, there it’s sloppily sentimental; now we’re happily engaged, then we’re cruelly dumped. Some films are electric – Admission settles for alternating current. show more

Tina Fey & Paul Rudd were probably as bored with making this movie as I was watching it.

I had hopes that this would be at least mildly entertaining, since I really get tired of the very offensive R movies. I do like the actors, but they really must have had nothing else to do to be bothered with this one. Almost left out of boredom. No stars.

Admission was a very good film...more of a light drama with amusing moments. Thoughtful dialogue and engaging story. Giving it 4 stars, maybe one-half too many, but I wanted to compensate for some of the low ratings. Better than most of the trash produced by Hollywood these days.

I liked it, I didnt think I would but I was proved wrong. I love Tina Fey & Paul Rudd together, such a great duo! ,it was cute comedy, especially with all the awkwardness in it, probably not a good \"first date\" movie, but definitely a \"date\" movie or a gals night out movie.
