When is a movie fall-down funny even when some scenes fall flat on their fat ones? When it's Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. show more

Yet it's very funny, a disappointment only to those who expect to see something bold and new. show more

The movie cleverly spoofs the 24-hour TV news cycle, as well as sexism and racism in the workplace. Not every scene is equally funny, of course, but most of the comic antics generate laughs. show more

No manner of bizarre distraction can keep Anchorman's hapless hero from his mission: "I'm going to do what God put Ron Burgundy on this earth to do," he declares. "Have salon-quality hair and read the news!" show more

Joe Neumaier New York Daily News

Like the bloated channels it parodies, the movie stretches to find something to say, then settles for stupid. show more

Comedically, everyone's on the same page here, which means that, even when things flag, more fun isn't far off. show more

It's impossible for all of them to work, but the sheer volume of material, delivered by a cast dedicated to the absolute absurdity of the setups — Fantana's new career as a kitten photographer, Kind's side business running a fast-food chain with a specialty in fried bat, Burgundy nursing and training a live shark while blind and living in a lighthouse — is a kind of comedy carpet-bombing. All it takes is a certain percentage of hits for things to detonate. show more

Ferrell and his longtime collaborator Adam McKay have a unique gift for creating characters that are human car wrecks yet somehow win our affection. show more

It’s a stacked lineup, and considering the profound un-funniness of so many Hollywood comedies, the fact that the film bats somewhere around .300 for its two-hour duration makes it feel like a genuine all-star event. show more

Maybe if I liked the first "Anchorman" a little less, I'd like Anchorman 2 a little more. Still, I laughed. show more

I thought it was pretty funny, but not nearly as memorable as the first one.

Just awful, we walked out. We were the only ones in the theater. Can\'t believe that Will Farrell was able to get so many other actors to be a part of the stupidy with him. Even my husband, who typically likes Will Farrell, was more than willing to walk out.

My friends and I are fans of Will Farrell movies and enjoyed the first Anchorman. That being said, we were sorely disappointed by this movie. There were several improbable plot events and the whole movie just dragged out and its jokes got real old real fast. 2 weeks ago : the theater was empty.

Lived up to expectations and had me laughing most of the movie. Some short parts I couldn\'t wait to get over with because they were slow, boring or lacked a plot. 4 stars overall.

Will Farrell has never made a good movie in his acting career. He thinks he is funny but if he is, it is in a different way. Come on Hollywood, you can do a better job of hiring actors better than him.

It makes me laugh that this movie got bad reviews and is called tasteless by these dopey reviewers. You were expecting Lawrence Oliver? This movie was FUNYY and JERKY. If you don\'t like FUNNY and JERKY stay home and watch Everybody Loves Raymond for the 100th time. I laughed my ass off.

One of the dumbest movies I\'ve seen in my life. Wouldn\'t recommend this to anyone. Some people walked out of the theatre after 20 minutes.
