Plot Summary
Canadian heavy-metal band Anvil delivered a highly influential 1982 album that would inspire the likes of Anthrax and Metallica, and then dropped off the map to begin what would become decades of toiling in obscurity. Director and former roadie Sacha Gervasi follows guitarist Steve "Lips" Kudlow and drummer Robb Reiner as they stumble through a harrowing European tour and reflect on failure, friendship, resilience and the will to follow even the most impossible of dreams.

I've seen the film twice now and was just blown away by the band's live performance in NYC. As a life long fan of heavy metal and a musician trying to make it in this world, not a day will go by from now on that i won't be listening to Anvil for inspiration, hope, and for a smile. I want to see this movie again and again because despite being and amazing band, these gentlemen are proof that life is worth living and dreams are worth dreaming because sometimes they just might come true.

Yes, It's funny and sad at the same time. Heavy metal fans will get a kick out of this one. Maybe a movie will help jump start Anvil's career. They sure try hard.
