Plot Summary
After a nature photographer (Mark L. Taylor) dies on assignment in Venezuela, a poisonous spider hitches a ride in his coffin to his hometown in rural California, where arachnophobe Dr. Ross Jennings (Jeff Daniels) has just moved in with his wife, Molly (Harley Jane Kozak), and young son. As town residents start turning up dead, Jennings begins to suspect spiders, and must face his fears as he and no-nonsense exterminator Delbert McClintock (John Goodman) fight to stop a deadly infestation.

    Jeff Daniels shines in such movies as Fly Away Home and Speed.John Goodman is also great, in such films as Sea of Love and Stella (with divine Miss Midler). A weird spider arrives at a California town, by way of a casket on a foreign ship.Daniels plays a California doctor who witnesses many people dying from a rare bite.He calls for A local exterminator,when he soon discovers a nest of these creepers under his home. The doctor faces his "phobia " head on,and tries to make his neighborhood safer. Bravo and Cheers!
