  • In this steadily gripping hothouse of a thriller, it's Cooper -- funny, fierce and bug-wild -- who gives us a look into the abyss. show more

  • The movie is serious, intelligent, intentionally claustrophobic and awfully somber -- you remember it in black and white, though it was shot (by the masterful Tak Fujimoto) in color. But you'll remember Mr. Cooper's performance for exactly what it is, an uncompromising study in the gradual decay of a soul. show more

  • This is a quiet, meticulously plotted chamber piece, not the booming, lightning-paced orchestral affair we know as the contemporary action film in the Age of Ludlum. show more

Great movie! In the tradition of Hitchcock you know in advance how it will turn out, but the suspense is in trying to figure out how Cooper will get caught. Cooper's quiet intensity and the cast's low-key acting throughout were perfect... But reading the posts here it appears most of today's movie fans are more entertained by reality TV! I only pray Hollywood doesn't surrender. .
