  • Hope Springs knows happy endings are provisional. What this exuberant gift of a movie offers Kay and Arnold is a renewed appetite for life. And that never gets old. show more

  • It's not much of a comedy - even Steve Carell, as the therapist, plays it straight here. But it's very effective as a cautionary tale. show more

What a horrendous waste of talent. Garbage story, garbage dialog, ridiculous finale. Streep and Jones must have been in dire need of $$$ to agree to doing this piece of drech. No stars at all for this one.
