Jimmy Carter: Man From Plains

PG| 2 hr. 6 min.

Plot Summary
Filmmaker Jonathan Demme trails former President Jimmy Carter on the promotional tour for his 2006 book "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid." From small towns to network talk shows, Carter offers his views on the Middle East peace process while contending with a media machine that frequently distorts those views. While critics condemn his comparison of the situation in Palestine to the apartheid of South Africa, Carter responds to their barbs with beguiling equanimity and customary thoughtfulness.

Both book and documentary are balanced. The only incentive of both Jimmy Carter and Jonathan Demme is to get an honest and balanced picture out there, concerning Palestine! It is about time! Only people who fear the truth will disparage their efforts.KFB

This album is the finest work I have ever heard from an instrumentalist of John's caliber. After having met him and some of his musician's it is clear that his gift of music is God given and the deepest part of his soul. Truly a blessing mixing the different parts of the world and bringing them all together. Truly enchanting.
