    Mick LaSalle San Francisco Chronicle

An intriguing document, and the first significant film ever made about a former U.S. president. show more

    Claudia Puig USA Today

Though not exactly a valentine to the octogenarian Nobel Peace Prize winner, the film is a lovingly rendered, candid and intimate portrait. show more

    Maitland McDonagh TV Guide

The minutiae of Carter's book tour isn't always enthralling, but his personality drives the film: pious, stubborn, devoted to his wife, curious, professional, warm and yet slightly removed from the fray, conciliatory, meticulous, self-effacing, funny, decent, intellectually rigorous and firmly committed to his positions. show more

Both book and documentary are balanced. The only incentive of both Jimmy Carter and Jonathan Demme is to get an honest and balanced picture out there, concerning Palestine! It is about time! Only people who fear the truth will disparage their efforts.KFB

This album is the finest work I have ever heard from an instrumentalist of John's caliber. After having met him and some of his musician's it is clear that his gift of music is God given and the deepest part of his soul. Truly a blessing mixing the different parts of the world and bringing them all together. Truly enchanting.
