    Chris Klimek The Dissolve

A deeply dopey, distinctly not-terrifying, unintentionally hilarious supernatural thriller. show more

    Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times

Magical swords, evil doppelgangers, a sexy black muscle car, an unremarkable final showdown and lots of first-draft dialogue factor into this thankfully brief (about 80 minutes plus end credits) frightfest. show more

Nicolas Rapold The New York Times

Most of the time, this incoherent thriller resembles an overheated trailer for itself: a glaringly rough assembly of ill-staged computer-generated action sequences and portentous moments. show more

    Joe Leydon Variety

[A] ponderously paced, needlessly convoluted and altogether unexceptional thriller. show more

    Mark Jenkins Washington Post

Intriguingly, Jinn makes a plea for understanding and cooperation between Muslims, Jews and Christians. Disappointingly, writer-director Ajmal Zaheer Ahmad does all too good a job burying that message within a blustering supernatural thriller. show more

On a one to ten, this is a 5. Fast moving, but old plot said a different way. Not perverse anti-christ or even pro-devel, so it is okay would not care to see it again.

I enjoyed this film. The plot is different - I had never heard of Jinn before and did not know what to expect. The movie is fast past and you will be entertained the whole way through. There are some suspenseful scenes and the "Jinn&************ is a little creepy but the movie itself is more thrilling than scary. The firebreather is definitely a scene stealer. The director helped construct this car himself. I was entertained the whole way through. I definitely jumped a few times! There were times where I was a little confused but other than that I enjoyed the actors and their characters, as well as the action scenes. The filmmakers had a low budget but did an excellent job with special effects and plot development. Cant wait for Jinn 2!!
