As for action,this somewhat dramatic remake gives a one-two punch.If we compare it to the 1972 smash,there is little room for sincerity and inner feelings.Buttons,Borgnine,Albertson and Hackman made you shed a tear for the departed.In this ,though,we have little room for the heartbreak and feelings we noted in 1972.

Really expensive remake finds a team of A-List cast drowning in tons of CG effects, a bad script, and very bad soap opera talk. Warner Brothers lost money over this and it was a real flop at the movie screens
