72 days can seem like a long time. It's what, about two and a half months? That's like from today until Thanksgiving. And that seems far off to me, because we're cooking a turducken this year and I can't wait. To someone else, though, not so long. Say if...
Based on the description, I'm going to go out on a limb and say this one is like The Sandlot ... but for swimmers. With swimming slowly becoming the next go-to sport for big-screen 'feel good' films, Disney has decided to hop in the water with Pool Rats;...
After having seen a thousand feel-good sports dramas -- Rudy, Remember the Titans, We Are Marshall, Glory Road and so on ad infinitum (and in many cases ad nauseam) -- you'd think that I'd be inclined to sneer at Pride. Or dismiss it as hokey, old-timey,...

Like many sports movies the underdoog wins out and we feel good. This one happens to be about how a swim team was formed and won in swim meets after a lot of hard work. This is not a movie for young... children, but teens and adults should really enjoy it. Good acting and story. Full Review
There are inconsistent issues (daughter without scars when told of her fathers death). Bullock was disappointing, something I never thought I'd say. Save your money.
First, Jimmy Ellis the person is worth knowing about and having our young people know about. The movie itself was excellent. The performances by Terrance Howard and Bernie Mac were first rate. Kimb... erly Elise always adds class to any movie she's in. The swim team member are real people and it was good to see to see the young lady competing on the swim team as well. And giving credit where credit is due, Tom Arnold makes a good villain. It's a must see movie. Full Review
