well the book is 4,000,503,673,000 times beter than the film. The movie was alright I guess, let my hopes down though.
Seeing Stuart Townsend is what the movies all about. Who wants to see anyone else. He is a sexy God so forget the story

"Queen" is a movie that stoops to jokes like calling Lestat's CD "a monster hit"; the movie is just a plain old monster. Full Review

Although the movie is set in the rock world and, therefore, should be a sort of extended music video, it's devoid of even MTV-caliber originality. Full Review

Self-serious, pointless and silly. Full Review

Like many genuinely awful movies, Queen of the Damned has the ingredients of a cult film. Full Review

Degenerates into a lot of dull declaiming and attitudinizing, despite a sly tongue-in-cheek quality brought by a preening Stuart Townsend to the Lestat role he inherited from the utterly humorless Tom Cruise. Full Review
