Latest on Resurrecting the Champ
Few leading male actors have followed the roundabout career trajectory of Josh Hartnett. Though indisputably tall, dark and handsome, Hartnett still manages to avoid the pratfalls of typecasting by landing roles in strange projects with questionable...
I'm excited enough that Rod Lurie is returning to politics with Nothing but the Truth, a film loosely associated with the story of Valerie Plame. But I'm becoming more excited that it will feature a wide range of talented actors, from Kate Beckinsdale to...
There are three ways that Joe Wright's The Soloist can go. It can end up sharing the fate of the recent bomb Resurrecting the Champ, which similarly was about a reporter and a homeless man. Or it can be a modest success, in the tradition of many feel-good...
Never one to sidestep controversy, writer/director Rod Lurie recently caused film purists to perk up their ears when he seemed to suggest during an interview that his upcoming remake of Sam Peckinpah's revenge thriller Straw Dogs would be tantamount to a...

Once again Mr. Jackson's acting was great. What I like about this movie is that the ending is not at all as you would expect it to be from the begining parts. This is a movie where you got to keep a... wake and pay attention and you will. I like that the truth came out, but in a great way and not with the hate and angry side we are led to expect. If people would learn that lesson and apply it to real life would could all improve. Full Review

I usually don't go to see movies that are based on true events, but I decided to see this one because of Sam Jackson. I think this was one of his best performances but the film wontmake a lot of money ... because it was a drama. Young people, who by the way powers the box office, would rather see an action movie filled with CGI. I'm sure the producers of thismovie knew that before making it, which means their targetaudience was older adults. Full Review
