I loved the movie and the parallel stories of becoming victorius....not giving up. I love that Penny's father sowed faith into her & the ability to stand under trial & that is exactly what she sowed into the rest. Secretariat? God made him, and put an extra large heart in his body. I loved it!!!

Truly one of the best movies on horse racing. An ispirational and superbly made movie. Diane Lane and John Malkovich are deserving of Academy Awards for their perfomances. I got goose bumps watching the third leg of the Triple Crown win.

Excellent Movie, I have seen it a dozen times and still I am moved to tears as that absolutely beautiful horse charges into the frey and wins in the most breathtaking way. So Inspirational. Absolutely beautifully and sensitively done

At least the formulaic race footage itself is vigorous; the schmaltzy mythmaking script, on the other hand, deserves a one-way trip to the glue factory. Full Review

In Secretariat, the fictionalized bits are simple exaggerations - broad, Disneyish adjustments in races and other realities. Full Review

It's tough to guess who will enjoy Secretariat more -- filmgoers who remember the extraordinary events of 1973, when the chestnut 3-year-old won the first Triple Crown in 25 years, or those for whom the story is brand-new. Full Review

The true story of the recordbreaking Secretariat is pretty stupendous as is. It didn't need schmaltzing up. Full Review

The story as a whole seems stale and overly familiar. Full Review
