Each story has its moments, but "Air" lacks an overarching vision. show more

The source for Jieho Lee's The Air I Breathe is an ancient Chinese proverb about the four cornerstones of emotion - love, pleasure, happiness and sorrow. But Lee and co-writer Bob DeRosa went 0-4 with their convoluted screenplay, making me thankful they didn't try to adapt the Seven Deadly Sins. show more

A top-notch varied group of actors, no doubt attracted by the colorfulness of their roles, has been assembled, but their hardworking efforts are ultimately done in by the supremely pretentious nature of the material. show more

It is sort of like Crash, except without all of the real-world relevance and brilliant writing that made Crash so great. The actors were good in the roles written for them; but the story-line, in its attempts to be so forcibly poignant, fails to live up to its premise and leaves the viewer thinking "What was the point of that?"

Too much gratuitous violence for me - very gory bloody scenes. I expected a lot more in terms of plot and story line from an all star cast and I was disappointed.

In a way it was like Crash, but so much more blood. I loved Emile Hirsch in it of course. He was so funny. He cracked me up in every part he was in. I loved to see Brendan Faser play a roll like that. Everyone did such a great part in the movie. It had a good plot goin on; the way it all tied in together like that. I would surely watch it again!
