Intellectual stuff - not for airheads. If you like to read you will love it. Dalton Trumbo was a brilliant writer who got caught up in a political witch-hunt of some prominent politicians who exploite... d the fear of communism right after WW II. The bottom line: We have nothing to fear from ideas, particularly which we oppose based on our prejudices. All censorship is evil all of the time. McCarthy trampled our first amendment and we should not let that ever happen again (don't let the Democrats do that now in their current efforts to squelch conservative talk radio with the so-called "Fairness Doctrine". Fantastic movie !!! To show the resolve Dalton Trumbo and the other writers who were singled out and left with nothing but never gave up their integrity was very well done. I would see this movie a fe... w more times and have no doubt that I will buy it for my DVD collection. Great archival footage and interviews.First class movie all around. Full Review
