Sorry, no XOXO for this slick, hollow hooey. show more

"If you don't want something," Twelve informs us, "you've got nothing." Well, I wanted to watch a good movie. But Joel Schumacher's shallow teen drama gave me nothing, instead. show more

    Kirk Honeycutt The Hollywood Reporter

Joel Schumacher's Twelve, the latest expose of self-indulgence among privileged teens, is sleek, giddy fun. show more

Over-narrated by Kiefer Sutherland in full "this is extremely important and also very, very cool" mode, from its first self-important minutes Twelve seems as if it can't possibly be serious. Would that it were not. show more

    Kyle Smith New York Post

It feels as shopworn as a dusty VHS tape of "Less Than Zero." show more

Keith Uhlich Time Out New York

From the moment Joel Schumacher's dour teens-in-crisis melodrama establishes its group of spoiled (and so, so unloved) Manhattan silver-spooners, you long for anything to leaven the tsk-tsk prurience. show more

Unlike "The Lost Boys," there are no bloodsuckers in Twelve. Instead, it just sucks time: 98 minutes to be exact that you can never get back. show more

    Marjorie Baumgarten Austin Chronicle

There's no getting around how dreadful Twelve is – how tone deaf it is to its young protagonists and how vapid its ersatz production design seems. show more

Twelve ogles the lost boys and girls as they make their mistakes. But unlike the novel, the movie never really gets inside these kids, who aren't in the least all right. show more

Though Crawford's bangs and facial hair are the most art-directed aspect of the movie, he's costumed to look like a member of the Trenchcoat Mafia (Madison Avenue branch). show more

If you like drama /action 'Twelve' is a movie that is definitely worth watching..... I watched it once with my friends and will go watch it again! Chace Crawford did an awsome job among other actors and actresses....... (fwy: this movie is an adaptation from a book to a movie, thererefore there are parts that are been narrated)

GREAT! Everyone in the theater that was 30 years old or younger LOVED IT, but the grandpas just didn't seem to connect to how social networks have changed the way today's youth communicate and interact. If you like a formulaic movie, more of the same-old-same-old stuff, this is NOT for you. But if you dig indie cinema and totally fresh filmmaking that BREAKS THE MOLD, then you have GOT TO GO SEE "TWELVE". Joel Schumacher totally gets it!!

Did not expect the movie to be as deep and interesting as it was. I honestly did not think Chance had that level of talent in him until I saw this movie. Must see!
