Plot Summary
Close friends Rupert Birkin (Alan Bates) and Gerald Crich (Oliver Reed) begin romances with siblings Ursula (Jennie Linden) and Gudrun Brangwen (Glenda Jackson). After the couples wed, they take a joint honeymoon to Switzerland, where things begin happily -- but they become increasingly complicated as the trip continues. Rupert and Ursula are determined to stay faithful to one another, while the aloof Gerald and the eccentric Gudrun turn to infidelity and sexual exploration.

    Just saw this movie again for the umpteenth time. It is definitely one of the great movies of all time. It is almost too intense to absorb in one sitting., & acting that takes the art to a new level. Glenda Jackson\'s perfromance is mind blowing (small wonder she won an Academy Award) and Olive Reed should have won an Academy Award as well, his performance was chilling Eleanor Bron was superiior, I can\'t hink of a movie so absorbing with slices of life that it draws you in & keeps you wondering if you\'re really getting it. I did, but it took a few viewings, each viewing is like seeing it for he fiirst time, I love this movie so uch I hve held on the the VHS copy since 1970!

    beautiful and very, very artistically done.........lighting, figures set in nature are beautiful.........wrestling, beautiful, an anotomy class for all artists...........actors .....all answer the call of lawrence
