Series Summary
Harry Bosch has murder on his mind. A former Special Forces officer who's done tours in the Middle East, Bosch is now a homicide detective in the Hollywood Division of the LAPD. And in the opener of this Amazon original series, he's torn between two different murders -- one in which he's the accused, the other a cold case he's been drawn into and is driven to solve. He's being tried for wrongful death in the shooting of a suspect, and his career is on the line. The LAPD cleared him of wrongdoing, but the victim's family filed suit. As he awaits the outcome of the civil trial, he's working to solve the mystery behind bones found by a dog in the hills -- from the skeleton of a child. Bones that indicated injuries that were most likely not accidental.

  • The main subplots of Bosch gather power as they proceed. show more

  • The unsettled, rule-breaking personality of the central character, his affair with an underdeveloped female character, a murderer who's too clever by half--these things aren't hard to find on TV. And though Bosch is credible, the episodes I saw weren't at such a fantastic level of execution that I have to see more of it and feel the need to shout from the rooftops about it. show more

  • A well-done cop show that doesn't reach for too much and mostly accomplishes what it sets out to do is the sort of thing just about anyone can have on in the background. show more
