Cara Delevingne's Emotional Move from Modeling to Acting

She's one of the most famous faces of fashion magazines and the catwalks, but Cara Delevingne is giving up modeling to focus on acting, and it's not just because her movie career is taking off.

The 23-year-old star of "Paper Towns" tells the UK's The Times that she's "not doing fashion work anymore" because of the stress from being sexualized at such a young age. "I am a bit of a feminist and it makes me feel sick," she told the paper. "It's horrible and it's disgusting. [We're talking about] young girls. You start when you are really young and you do, you get subjected to … not great stuff."

It became so bad that Delevingne developed the skin affliction psoriasis, which she had to hide with foundation.

"People would put on gloves and not want to touch me because they thought it was, like, leprosy or something," she says.

Hoping for better things with her new career, Delevingne is now shooting her biggest movie, the anti-superhero action film "Suicide Squad."

"I am very good at standing up for myself now, and for other people," she tells The Times. "If there is injustice I will flip out. If someone is crossing a line, they will know about it and so will everyone else."
