John Krasinski and Emily Blunt had an extra special reason to celebrate this past holiday weekend: The celebs recently welcomed their second child.

Krasinski took to Twitter on Monday to announce the news himself, tying in the date to the size of his growing family. The actor revealed that Blunt had given birth to a baby girl in late June.

"What better way to celebrate the 4th... than to announce our 4th family member!!!" Krasinski said on social media. "2 weeks ago we met our beautiful daughter Violet."

Violet joins big sister Hazel, 2, who was born in February 2014. Blunt, 33, and Krasinski, 36, have been married since 2010, tying the knot in a ceremony in Italy after two years of dating.

The couple confirmed Blunt's second pregnancy earlier this year, which coincided with filming on the actress's latest project, "The Girl on the Train." In an interview with C Magazine back in April, Blunt said that it was a bit tricky juggling the flick alongside her pregnancy, since the role was more physically demanding than she initially anticipated. And already having a toddler at home made her second time expecting a bit different.

"The first pregnancy is the most self-indulgent thing in the world because you get massages and prenatal yoga and hypnotherapy CDs," Blunt explained to the magazine at the time. "During this one I forget that I'm even pregnant. I'm hoisting my 2-year-old around!"

Congrats to the new family of four.
