Dead ahead! Dead on arrival! Whatever you want to call it, this weekend launches "The Walking Dead" season, which should continue until around April 2017. Here's AMC's schedule breakdown:

TWD Season 6 Marathon: AMC announced it will air an all-day marathon of "The Walking Dead" Season 6 starting August 14 at (random time alert) 4:25 a.m. ET/PT.

"Fear the Walking Dead" preview: At 7:25 p.m., in a mini break from the "Walking Dead" marathon, you can watch a five-minute preview of "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 2B, which premieres the following week.

TWD Season 7 special: Right after the "Walking Dead" marathon ends, at 10 p.m., Chris Hardwick will host "The Walking Dead Season 7 Preview Special." According to AMC, "the hour-long special will give fans an early look at what to expect in the upcoming season, featuring exclusive interviews with the cast, executive producers and special guests, including Yvette Nicole Brown, as well as behind-the-scenes moments."

Fear marathon: AMC is airing a marathon of "Fear the Walking Dead," starting with Season 1, Episode 1 at 7 a.m., and continuing with the seven episodes of Season 2 so far.

Season 2 midseason premiere: "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 2, Episode 8 premieres at 9 p.m. August 21.

TWD Season 7 premiere: "The Walking Dead" Season 7 begins Sunday, October 23 at 9 p.m., and should continue its usual pattern of eight episodes, then a winter break, with the second half *usually* starting up the Sunday after the Super Bowl. So (wild guess) the midseason premiere may be February 12, 2017, with the eight episodes continuing until April 2.
